The district was formed in 1985 when the Great Southwest District and the Mohawk District joined to make a new district called Scioto Valley
Currently the district is in Simon Kenton Council, Columbus, Ohio
Simon Kenton Council was formed in 1994 from the merger of Central Ohio Council, Chief Logan and Scioto Area Council.
