    Description
    This RARE antique yellow ware pottery cigar and match holder has the striker on the back. Buff colored yellow clay. English. Some one wrote Uncle Emmett, 1888, A. I? on the bottom in pencil. There are the numbers 64 and XXII and a logo impressed. Gold trim and very fine bocage (bits of fine clay added to the surface). Symbols of iron working...anvil, gear, tools for a forge, etc. 1880s-1910s. A little of the bocage has worn off as would be expected of a piece of this age. No chips, cracks or repairs. 6" x 4 3/4".
