ONE-OF-A-KIND VINTAGE ARTISAN HANDMADE PORCELAIN SAKE SQUARE CUP WITH WOOD STORAGE BOX & ARTIST BIO TETSUO TADA • KUTANI WARE • ISHIKAWA JAPAN
MEASUREMENTS:  1.5 inches height x 1.25 inches width x 1 inch depth.  Balsa wood storage box with lid measures 3 inches height x 3.25 inches width x 2.5 inches depth.
CONDITION:  Clean, Excellent Vintage condition. Has been kept in storage since date of purchase in late 1990's, never used, no deep cleaning performed.
MARKINGS:  Signed by Porcelain Pottery Artist Tetsuo Tada of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, JAPAN.

, one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted, hand-painted, Porcelain Square Sake Cup
was purchased in late 1990's from a traditional porcelain pottery shop in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture

Japan.
The paper enclosure contains Tada's bio that details his illustrious history working as a Japanese Porcelain Pottery Artist:
Graduating in 1966 from the Kanazawa College of Art - Dept. of Industrial Design and working at the Design Division of the Ishikawa Prefectural Industrial Research Institute and the National Nagoya Industrial Research Institute's Seto Branch.  While working and perfecting his Kutani Ware design work in the 1970s, Tada continued to hone his skills at Terai Kutani Ao Kiln and became winner of several exhibition design competitions as well as a distinguished member of the Ishikawa Craft Design Association.
From its beautiful, rich colors, delicately hand-painted floral design, and the perfection of its ochoko size for sake drinking, this footed highly-decorative vintage sake cup would make a lovely addition to your collection.
